Conservatives welcome Olympics public transport commitment

Hugh Robertson comments on the launch of the Olympic Transport Plan.

Commenting on the launch of the Olympic transport plan, Hugh Robertson, Shadow Olympics Minister, said:

“I welcome the commitment to maximising public transport during the London 2012 games. It does, however, seem more than a little contradictory to preach the virtues of public transport whilst keeping a special Olympic road lane for Olympic officials and sponsors and hiring 11,000 cars.”
