Robertson: Olympics cost increase a real concern

Hugh comments on the reviewed costs for the 2012 venues.

Commenting on the news that the costs of the 2012 Olympic park venues are predicted to rise by £196 million from November 2007 to 2012, Shadow Olympics Minister, Hugh Robertson said:

“Although it is reassuring that the overall Olympic budget is as expected, it is a concern that the costs of the stadium keep rising. In a recession, with building cost inflation falling, costs should be going down not up.”
