It was announced that the new proposal of a School Olympics will be adopted if the Conservatives win the next election.
Hugh announced that the annual School Olympics will involve a nationwide sports competition between schools and will be based around the extremely successful model used in Kent. In 2008, the Kent School Games engaged 30,000 children from 500 schools.
Hugh said, “The Conservative Party is committed to returning a competitive spirit back into the heart of school sport and the School Olympics will give every child an opportunity to play competitive sport and help secure a lasting legacy from 2012.”
