A week of FIFA, cricket, rowing and football.
After a bank holiday dominated by the crisis at FIFA, I spent Tuesday night at Lords with the England Cricket team celebrating our Ashes defence and discussing how the lessons of their success could be transferred to other sports.
On Thursday, I visited the GB Rowing squad at Caversham to see both mens and womens teams in training and talk to the crews. After a busy day in the constituency on Friday, I spent Saturday at Wembley watching England record a disappointing draw against Switzerland before spending Sunday on an important engagement with my son on the Bredgar and Wormshill Light Railway!
