BT's next phase of super-fast fibre Broadband deployment includes Faversham

Hugh Robertson, MP for Faversham, today welcomed the decision by BT to include Faversham in the next phase of super fast broadband rollout.

Over 9,000 premises should be able to access the new system from spring 2012.

Hugh said:

 
‘I am absolutely delighted by BT’s decision to include Faversham in the next phase of super fast broadband rollout due to start in spring 2012. It is excellent news for individuals and businesses alike and will, I hope, enable more people to have the option of working from home.

As a Minister in the Department responsible, I want to see super fast broadband rolled out across the country as a priority – particularly in rural areas. It brings enormous social and environmental benefits and is a good fit with BT’s work as a London 2012 main sponsor.’
