From Netherall School to Wembley

The week of 23 May encompassed everything from sports grassroots to the very top of the game.

It included the League Managers Association Annual Dinner, the Rugby Players Association Annual Dinner and the BT Paralympic World Cup in Manchester where I watched our ladies team secure a well deserved gold in the Wheelchair Basketball Competition.

At the other end of the spectrum, I visited Netherall School in Cambridge to open the new sports centre and all weather pitch. The weekend saw me supporting two very different sports events as I attended the Champions League final at Wembley and admired, with everyone else, the metronomic passing of Messi, Iniesta, Xavi and others before spending Sunday at the Kent Target Polocross Competition.
