MP attends STOP KIG picnic and urges protestors to recruit new members.

Hugh attends a picnic in Bearsted to raise awareness of the STOP KIG campaign.

Hugh Robertson, the MP for Mid Kent, attended the picnic in Bearsted on Saturday afternoon to raise awareness of the STOP KIG Campaign. He attended with his wife and young son and used the occasion both to thank the STOP KIG organisers and to urge them to recruit more members.

Hugh Robertson said, “Numbers count for Planning Inspectors. If we can raise the current membership of STOP KIG from 7,500 to 10,000, it will have a big impact when the formal Inquiry starts in October.

I am incredibly grateful for all the volunteers who have helped oppose this dreadful scheme. We have also had terrific support from the local media, and particularly the KM, which has made a huge difference.”
