Hugh Robertson signs full declaration of interest for General Election

Hugh Robertson has today submitted a full declaration of interest for the forthcoming General Election.

This is part of the Ministry of Justice's drive to ensure greater transparency and accountability in public life.

Hugh gave up all outside interests on entering Parliament. His declaration, therefore, contains only his unpaid post as Treasurer of The Middle East Council - a body committed to furthering understanding of The Middle East region. He also registers his position, again unremunerated, as a Member of the regimental council of his old regiment.

Hugh was entirely untouched by the recent Parliamentary expenses scandal.
