Hugh Robertson restates opposition to KIG and urges everyone to respond to the Planning Consultation

Hugh Robertson, the MP for Mid Kent, has again restated his total opposition to the Kent International Gateway.

Hugh Robertson, the MP for Mid Kent, has again restated his total opposition to the Kent International Gateway (KIG) proposal and urged people to object formally to Maidstone Borough Council by 6th February. Despite the fact that this is a re-consultation, it is vital that everyone opposed to the application should write again.

Hugh Robertson said, “The Kent International Gateway proposal is completely inappropriate for this area and makes no sense in transport terms. Maidstone Council will take account of the weight of objections so it is vital that everybody affected writes formally in the strongest possible terms”.
