Hugh Robertson leads GREAT trip to Australia

Over the May bank holiday, Hugh Robertson led a GREAT trip to Australia to capitalise on the sporting and tourism links between the two countries. In a packed programme, and accompanied by The Chairman of Visit Britain, Chris Rodrigues, Hugh hosted GREAT receptions in both Sydney and Canberra and held meetings with Ministerial counterparts and government bodies across the sport and tourism sectors, including his sports counterpart, Senator Kate Lundy, with whom he had a medal table bet on London 2012 . He also visited the Sydney Olympic Park, the SCG, the Australian Institute of Sport, the Australian Sports Commission, the National War Memorial, Duntroon Military Academy, Kings Paramatta and the Victorian State Parliament. He also attended a Rugby League match in Sydney.
