"Lady Thatcher was the dominant post war British Prime Minister. Quite apart from being the first woman to hold this post, she changed this country forever to the extent where no subsequent government, even those politically opposed to her, have been able to roll back her reforms.

"She is one of the great figures of modern political history and will be greatly missed."
