Hugh continues supporting local schools

BOUGHTON PRIMARY SCHOOL HOSTS VISIT FROM MP HUGH ROBERTSON

Boughton Primary School has hosted its first visit from local MP Hugh Robertson. During the visit, Hugh attended school assembly – where he helped some of the children pin apples on the school notice board in recognition of their achievements that week. He addressed the school council afterwards.

Following a tour of the school and grounds, Hugh spoke to all of year 6 who had prepared some questions for him. Topics under discussion mainly centred on life as an MP. The class were keen to know about an MP’s workload, working hours and the balance between Westminster life and work in the constituency.

Hugh said: “I really enjoyed the first of what I hope will be many visits to Boughton. It is a terrific school with a great atmosphere and with, I am sure, do well in its upcoming OFSTED inspection.

“The children asked some great questions about life as an MP and had clearly put a lot of effort into the preparation. It is a lovely village school.”
