Good news for Senacre School

KENT MP WINS BATTLE FOR 30MPH SPEED LIMIT OUTSIDE SCHOOL

Hugh Robertson has today received assurances from Kent Highways that the 30mph speed limit zone on the A274 Sutton Road will be extended past Senacre Technology College. Hugh Robertson was asked to get involved in the campaign by the Head Teacher, Mrs Sheila Storey, following an accident involving a pupil at the school.

Hugh said: “I am absolutely delighted that the proposal to extend the 30mph speed limit past Senacre Technology College has been accepted. It made no sense to end it, and therefore encourage drivers to speed up, just before a busy school entrance. Providing there are no objections, the new speed limit should now go through. It is excellent news.”
