HUGH SECURES MEETING WITH STRATEGIC RAIL AUTHORITY
Hugh Robertson has secured a meeting with the Strategic Rail Authority to discuss Faversham’s train services. This follows on from the publication of the Strategic Rail Authority’s consultation document.
It is proposed that the two train per hour Victoria to Ramsgate service form the core of the service at North Kent coast services. This core service would be supplemented by three trains in each two hour CTRL DS peak period between Broadstairs and St Pancras and a further two trains at the height of the peak between Broadstairs and Cannon Street for the benefit of city commuters.
Hugh said: “We are getting mixed messages about what this service will entail and how peak periods will be defined.
“I have, therefore, asked to meet the SRA personally to find out exactly what is involved and to ensure the best possible deal for my constituents.”
