Costs for Aquatic centre and Velopark illustrate inadequacy of bid calculations

Hugh responds to the most recent ODA figures.

Commenting on the figures announced by the Olympic Delivery Authority today for the Velopark and Aquatics Centre, Shadow Sports Minister, Hugh Robertson, said:

“Today's figures for the Aquatic centre and Velopark are broadly in line with the ODA's latest budget. However, they do illustrate, once again, the hopeless inadequacy of the original bid budget.

“The key thing now is to get the remaining contracts let and then allow the contractors to do get on with their work without constant interference or changes to the specification.”
