Campaign to properly fund British atheletes

This week, as Shadow Minister for Sport, Hugh will be highlighting the stark fact that it's 200 days since we won the London Olympic bid for 2012 and there's still no funding forthcoming from the Treasury for the training of elite athletes.

Every Olympic host nation invests in its top sportsmen and women so they can excel in the games. 200 days have been forfeited in high powered training, and more will be lost, the longer the Chancellor holds back. Hugh will be campaigning to convince Gordon Brown that money is urgently needed up front.
